Matthew is a co-founder and Managing Partner of CAP91 Partners. Matthew has also spent his entire professional career working with middle market companies across a wide spectrum of industries.
Matthew worked with Hiter at HW from 1994-2000 as one of HW’s early professionals. In 1999, Matthew was one of four HW employees who established HW’s San Francisco office, its first office outside Richmond, Virginia. From late 2000 to early 2013, Matthew worked for Quad-C Management, a private equity firm based in Charlottesville, Virginia that invests in middle market leveraged buyouts. Matthew worked as both an investment professional and in business development for Quad-C. Matthew rejoined Harris Williams in early 2014 to help lead a co-investment strategy pursuant to a buyside advisory assignment for a family office client alongside Hiter.
Matthew earned a B.S. in Finance from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia in 1994, graduating with Distinction. Matthew is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
