Hiter is a co-founder and Managing Partner of CAP91 Partners and also co-founded Harris Williams in 1991. He has spent his entire professional career working with middle market companies across a wide spectrum of industries and is well known in the private equity industry.
Harris Williams, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, is one of the largest middle market mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”) and private capital advisory firms in the U.S., with ten offices located in San Francisco, Boston, Minneapolis, Cleveland, Washington D.C., London, Frankfurt, and New York. Hiter remains as Chairman Emeritus of HW.
Hiter graduated with a degree in Mathematics from Hampden-Sydney College in 1983 and earned his Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1987, graduating with Distinction. Prior to co-founding Harris Williams, Hiter worked for four years at Bowles Hollowell Connor & Co, a middle market mergers and acquisitions advisory firm based in Charlotte, N.C.
Hiter is active in his community, serving on the Boards of several higher education institutions and charitable organizations and as a Board member of a select few Virginia-based businesses.
